Care Affair

Frauen und Fiktion
indoor

Why is care work traditionally attributed to women? Aesthetic images of caring activities beyond ascribing them to gender roles were developed in conversations with people who conduct care work. Between acts of physical care and acts of caring, attachment and comfort are represented so sexy that we experience them with a new appreciation. The Care Affair performance imagines a care community that exists beyond the capitalistic logic of commercialization and presents alternative stories of success.

The production takes place as part of the pilot project to open Berlin theaters to live audiences.
