Digital Festival

The majority of the events within the 2021 Berlin Performing Arts Festival will take place digitally. A few events will take place open air or will be offered as audio tours – depending on the applicable regulations. All current details can be found in the individual program descriptions.

Beginning with the opening of the festival, the schedule of programming provides a detailed overview of all dates and events – from livestreams to discussion formats as well as other events.

How to access the digital offerings of the artistic productions is explained on the pages of the individual events.

The series of discussions as well as the Opening and Closing of the PAF will be livestreamed on the website at the specified time.
 

Tickets & Registration: Artistic Contributions

Many artistic productions are free of charge. For paid events, tickets can only be purchased via the respective performance venue or artist.

Registration: Professionals & Supporting Program

Participation in the series of discussions is free of charge. Some events, however, do require advance registration via e-mail. Some events have a limited number of participants.

Registration is required for the following events at registration [at] performingarts-festival.de. We ask you to send registrations for several of these events collectively in one mail.

For visiting the Festivalbar (in Spatial Chat, from 25. – 29.05.) or the Digital Info Point for Professionals (in Spatial Chat, from 26 - 29.05) we ask for registration at bar [at] performingarts-festival.de.

After registration you will receive a confirmation by mail with the access link to the event as well as further information.

Data Processing
Upon registration, Landesverband freie darstellende Künste Berlin e.V. (hereinafter referred to as “LAFT Berlin”) will use the first and last name and email address of the user and store this information for the organization and realization of the PAF 2021 online events and meetings. The processing of the data takes place electronically for the proper fulfillment of the contract, especially for the provision of our services and for the provision of further information to you regarding the online event that you have selected. The processing of this data takes place on the basis of article 6, paragraph 1, letter b of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Landesverband freie darstellende Künste Berlin e.V. will store this data until all mutual claims from the respective contractual relationship with you have been fully satsified.

Recordings
The PAF 2021 online events and meetings on the online platform Spatial Chat will not be recorded by LAFT Berlin. The PAF 2021 online events and meetings that are conducted on the online platform Ecosero may be recorded for the purposes of internal documentation. The recording generally includes all activities of the participants within the video conferencing system, such as interim questions or video comments. If you do not want to be recorded, you can deactivate access to your own video and/or sound during the event. Questions can usually also be asked using the chat function. 

With the registration and with the activation of the access to your video and/or sound, the user declares their consent that video and/or sound recordings may be made and that these recordings, insofar as the user is depicted or included on these, can be used by LAFT Berlin for the following purposes: documentation of the event for internal uses by the association, for example, as verification of the event for the funders.

Language

Unless otherwise indicated, the events take place in German and/or English. Via the category "Suitable for English Audience", the schedule can be filtered for English productions. Additional information on other languages as well as notes on accessibility can be found on the event pages of the productions under "Event notes".
 

Technical Notes

A number of different computer programs are used to realize the events – we strongly recommend that you take the following information into account as you plan your attendance:

  • Ensure that you have a stable internet connection – ideally, use a LAN cable
  • Use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome as your web browser
  • Close all other programs currently running on your computer
