The Dramatische Republik explores a new play by Rolf Kemnitzer: Deserts, Sausages, Dignity, a post-capitalist tragicomedy, is set on a sinking peninsula, a kind of hardware store, whose workers are looking to offer useful services. The headquarters sends them a cyborg who is supposed to ensure order is kept in the store… there is, on the one hand, the catastrophe of civilization and, on the other, the people with their ideals and desires. What can be done when you sell hugs, but nobody wants to hug you? Featuring a post-performance discussion.

The performance takes place in the rear courtyard of the house, in the so-called "Wüste". If you stand in front of House A (Karl-Marx-Allee 1) and walk around the house to the right, you will reach the large courtyard with autoscooters and a parking lot. From there a lane leads further back to the venue.
