Due to a pandemic, everyone is locked up in their homes and increasingly struggling against hopelessness, loneliness and boredom. Interpersonal contact has been restricted to unsatisfying video sessions, the rhythm of day and night lost its way a long time ago, and the consumption of alcohol has gotten completely out of hand. Hospital physician Dr. Michael Astrow is completely overworked and caught up in a daily struggle for life and death. Late at night, he sits drunk in front of his computer and tries to talk Helena into having online sex.
