Kiskeya is the ancient name of a tropical island that oscillates between a paradise for tourists and a prison for its most impoverished inhabitants. One of the poorest countries in the world, Haiti, and one of the richest in the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic, saw their relationship first defined through colonial narratives and then through hate, racism, colorism, fear, codependence, ignorance, denial of hereditary legacy and a whole bunch of plastic. Through the exchange of experiences of discrimination, these interdisciplinary dance projects dare to try to heal the wounds.
